Built in the traditional wood and stone style, the Alpages
de Champagny is a superb collection of high quality apartments in the pretty little village of Champagny-en-Vanoise.
The residence is located just 1km from the village centre - approx. 15 minutes walk - and 1.5km from the gondola
and ESF ski school, with a free public shuttle bus service.
Although the Alpages de Champagny is a self catering residence, a whole range of hotels services are available
for guests such as a breakfast delivery services, excursions and restaurant reservations (with some free transfers
there and back). The local Sherpa mini-market can arrange a shopping service which is then delivered
to the residence on your day of arrival - just click on the link to place your order. If you don't fancy venturing
out to one of the restaurants in the village, guests can also hire raclette and fondue sets so that after a long
day on the pistes, you simply return to your apartment where everything is ready for a convivial evening in - bliss.
The Alpages de Champagny also offers an impressive fitness/wellbeing suite comprising a large heated swimming pool
(free for guests' use), well equipped gymnasium, relaxation area, Sauna and steam room (€8/session, €39 for 7 sessions,
1 free sauna or steam room session/apt/week) and a beautician offering a full range of beauty treatments including
waxing, facials, massage etc. The comfortable reception area offers a real log fire and comfortable seating where
guests can while away the time admiring the superb panoramic views, as well as WiFi and a pool table (some services
payable locally).
All apartments have a well-equipped kitchenette with microwave/oven, ceramic hob and dishwasher, telephone, balcony
or terrace, and all offer the same high quality of solid wood furnishings in keeping with the chalet theme as well
as flat screen televisions. Great care and attention has been paid to the fixtures and fittings, so even the smaller
apartments have the feel of miniature chalets. Bed linen and towels are included in the price.

Champagny-en-Vanoise is part of La Plagne, consisting of 10 ski stations set high in the Savoie. Linked to Les
Arcs, the area forms Paradiski, which has access to 425km of pistes, 140 lifts, 232 ski runs, 2 skiable glaciers
as well as some of the highest peaks. The skiing
is varied and offers something for every level of skier. The
cable car from the village centre takes 8 minutes to reach an altitude of 2000m and the southern slopes. This offers
a vast area for skiing and snowboarding. Champagny is one of the prettiest of La Plagnes villages. The village
has a good selection of shops, restaurants and après ski bars. There are ski hire shops in the village centre
and the ESF office is also conveniently placed at the base of the gondola station.

'On arrival I was nicely surprised by the warmth & welcome
at the reception;
The reception is decorated in traditional wooden furniture with a fire place in the centre. The sofas are sturdy
again in traditional wood with huge plush cushions where you can sit to work if needed as there is (paying) wi-fi
connection. The apartments are tastefully decorated in wooden furniture, overlooking the village of Champagny:
they feel warm, homely & welcoming. If tired & sore from skiing there is a spa centre with a swimming pool
& relaxation centre where you can get pampered with massage treatments & other beauty therapies. The best
service in this residence was the fact that you have a choice of 3 restaurants which offer a free navette service
to get to & come back so no need to worry about parking nor drinking & driving! I would definitely choose
les Alpages for a relaxing family skiing holiday!'
