THE SKIING...
Les Menuires has a privileged situation in Les 3 Vallées (3 Valleys), one of the biggest ski areas in the world (600 km of slopes and 180 ski lifts), an amazing diversity of slopes, tracks and activities. The ski area Les Menuires St Martin has 350km of skiing, and also enjoys access to:- 600 km of pistes and 180 ski lifts with direct access to Val Thorens, Méribel, Courchevel, Brides Les Bains and La Tania.

The children can be taken care of where they are welcome from the age of 3 months, in the Piou-Piou club of la Croisette, day care centre, nursery (medical certificate and reservation is necessary), and kinder garden. Les Menuires holds the prestigious Famille Plus Montagne award for its family-friendly features.

There is a choice of ski schools, offering private and group lessons as well as non-ski facilities for children. These include nursery from 3 months mini-club from 30 months, and lots of activities arranged throughout the season. The lift pass is free for children under 5 years, proof of age will be required at the lift pass office.

SNOW RELIABILITY...
Les Menuires has an enviable snow record, thanks to its height, and position of slopes. With over 400 snow canons, the ski resort is classified among the best resorts of Europe for its equipment in snow culture (45% of covered pistes). On both top of the Mont de la Chambre and Roc des 3 Marches, the skiers can enjoy 1000 m of downhill skiing as of mid-December.

OUR ACCOMMODATION IN LES MENUIRES...
This large luxury chalet is built in the Savoy style, using generous amounts of wood and natural stone, and with stylish interior design. With a liveable floor area of 165 m2, the chalet is extremely spacious. It is in the 'Hameau' area with supermarket, several restaurants, a ski pass sales office, a ski shop and the Yeti bar, all in the immediate environs of the village.

You can ski from the chalet, 300m on an easy run to reach the Tortollet lift, giving access to the whole of the 3 Valleys, and ski back to very close to the chalet. It is a few hundred metres from the chalet village on foot to the Telepreyerand pedestrian lift taking passengers to the La Croisette centre of Les Menuires. The lift runs from 8:00 to 23:00.

THE VILLAGE...
Les Menuires prime feature is it's extensive, varied and reliable skiing, but it also offers a good range of shops, cafes, bars and restaurants across the different areas, and they are linked by free lifts and shuttle buses.

Our ski in/out accommodation is within L'Hameau des Marmottes chalet village, and there is a supermarket, several restaurants, a ski pass sales office, a ski shop and the Yeti bar, all in the immediate environs of the village. The local bakery will also deliver fresh bread and croissants, to the chalet, daily.

Les Menuires has banks, dentist, doctor and pharmacy, as well as all the usual shops, boulangeries etc. There is a post office within the Tourist Office in Reberty, which also has internet access. There are various other locations offering this too.
Once a week, during the February French holidays, you can come and try the Roc'n Bob slope sledging competition. At the top of the Roc des 3 Marches cable car, children and adults alike will enjoy the new tobogganing slope created by SEVABEL. 3.5 km long with 430 m of ascent and 7 m wide, this slope offers (with helmet) a thrill at the heart of the Menuires! Hot wine (vin chaud) or hot chocolate will be offered on your arrival.

Activities in the Sport and Well Being centre, swimming pools, cinema, discotheques, shows, snowscooter, quad and buggy, spectacles and music in the various districts, concerts live in bars and restaurants, cabaret, concerts given in Les Menuires and Saint Martin de Belleville. Besides skiing you can go for a walk on foot or with snowshoes, try the buggy or quad, enjoy the swimming pool or the fitness room. You can discover the local culture or go and listen to a classical concert at night.

ACCESS...
The nearest airport is Chambery, just over 1.5 hours/100km away, but in order of distance Geneva and Lyon is all accessible. The drive from the Channel Ports is about 11 hours plus stops, but this will be increased at busy times such as New Year and Half Term or in poor weather.
