At the heart of the Alps and just 200m from the ski lifts
and ESF ski school in the pretty village of Chantemerle, the Hameau du Rocher Blanc is a small group of six high
quality, 3/4-storey chalet-style residences divided into 79 apartments in the popular Serre Chevalier area. There's
something for everyone in Serre Chevalier! Great skiing in a mountain atmosphere, peaceful skiing in larch woods,
family skiing in specially designed areas. The distance between Le Hameau du Rocher Blanc 1 & 2 is about 200m,
and a free public shuttle bus operates throughout the resort
There are there are several different types of apartments here which are all equipped with kitchenette with microwave
& dishwasher, ceramic hob, television and furnished terrace or balcony.
APARTMENT TYPE 24 - 1 BEDROOM APARTMENT
Sleeps 2-4, 33/38m², bathroom or shower,
living area with single sofa bed and single pull-out bed, bedroom sleeping 2. NO Balcony. These apartments may
be situated in either building.
APARTMENT TYPE 26A - 1 BEDROOM ALCOVE APARTMENT
Sleeps 2-6, approx 43m², bathroom or shower,
living area with single sofa bed and single pull-out bed, double bedroom, alcove with 2 single beds. Situated in
Le Hameau du Rocher Blanc 1.
APARTMENT TYPE 36/36X - 2 BEDROOM APARTMENT
Sleeps 2-6 people, (sometimes split-level) sleeps
6, 50/55m², bathroom or shower, extra shower in most apartments, living area with single sofa bed and single
pull-out bed, double bedroom, twin bedroom. These apartments may be situated in either building.
APARTMENT TYPE 48 - 3 BEDROOM APARTMENT
Sleeps 2-8, approx 60/70m², bathroom or
shower, extra shower, living area with single sofa bed and single pull-out bed, double bedroom, 2 twin bedrooms.
Situated in Le Hameau du Rocher Blanc 2.
Facilities include an indoor heated pool and communal lounge with open fire in Le Hameau du Rocher Blanc 1, sauna
and steam room (€8 / session or €39 for 7 sessions, 1 free sauna or steam room session is offered per apartment,
per week), WiFi, pool table (payable), gym, television and free parking. Cots and high chairs for children up to
2 are offered free of charge (subject to availability - state at time of booking).
Serre Chevalier is a constellation of 13 authentic mountain villages in a thoroughly Alpine environment, set at
the entrance to the Ecrins National Park and sitting in the heart of the unspoilt beauty of the Oisans. Chantemerle
at 1350m is one of the prettiest villages in the area with a good selection of mini supermarkets, restaurants,
bars, nightlife and a fitness centre. You really feel like you are in the heart of the Alps here.
With 250km of runs, Serre Chevalier is one of the Alps' biggest ski areas. The resort, comprising of 13 villages,
is spread over 4 areas: Briancon, Chantemerle (where our accommodation is located), Villeneuve la Salle and le
Monêtier les Bains. It is also at the gates of the Ecrins National Park.
Serre Chevalier is also blessed with natural hot springs that have been bubbling away in Le Monêtier les
Bains (Serre Chevalier 1500) since the dawn of time. The water rises to the surface at 44°C and cools as it
is used in the outdoor and indoor pools (36°C) as well as individual tubs. For non-skiers, there are skating
rinks, paragliding, or snowmobiles, or simply relax in Les Grandes Bains des Monetier the spa centre which features
pools, Roman baths, Jacuzzis, water shutes and beauty treatments. Children can toboggan, enjoy the playgrounds
and children's clubs, go snowmobiling or - of course - ski!
Linen and towels are included on arrival.
